WTB... A Del Sol! :) :)

Hi Everyone!

So I just sold my truck with the thought of getting a sporty little car that gets good gas mileage and right now the Del Sol is at the top of my list!

The only problem is that there aren't that many for sale and the ones that I've seen out there so far that I like don't seem to have motivated sellers (as in they never call back).

I'm looking for:
-VTEC, maybe Si
-Preferably 95+, but might consider earlier. -Manual Transmission
-Not Red

Anyone?

yah theres a dark green one on craigslist now selling for 5000. its a vtec, with low mileage, im not sure how many but im thinking its 84k. its a 95 im sure, and i dont think its modded yet, and if it is its very lightly modded. you should check that one out.

I've tried CL, but haven't seemed to have much luck... There are two VTECHs, but the guy selling the one in Redmond is tough to get ahold of (as in, he doesn't call back).

I thought maybe the people here would know someplace to go that I didn't or might have "a friend thinking about selling his/her del sol" or something like that.

yah del sols are hard to come by, especially ones that are worth buying. if you dont mind spending a good buck on one, go to a dealership and theyll search the entire country for any del sol in any condition you want. of course youll prolly end up paying one to two thousand more than you would if you bought a similar one thats already here, but its just something to think about.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">i HIGHLY doubt you'd only spend an extra grand or two going to the dealer versus private party. Just be patient i suppose. It took me a good 2 months of SERIOUS searching to actually get my sol.

haha no, i meant if you were to go to a dealership and you were to specify what kinda sol you wanted, with a specific ammount of miles in a specific condition. youd prolly spend one to two thousand dollars more than you would if you were to get one thats already here. so like if they had like a 95 s model at the lot, and it had like 105 thousand miles and they wanted like 8 for it. youd prolly spend like 10 thousand if you said you want a 95 vtec with 70 thosuand miles on it. the place where i went to told me finding a 97 vtec with under 60 thousand miles would prolly set me back about 10-12 thousand. but as of two days ago, i found a dealership in texas that imports sols. they said the charge for a SiR model will cost me about 10-12 thousand as well, shipped, registered, legal to drive, and at my door step. so i may end up going in that direction
